placeNapier calendar_month

We currently have a full-time permanent vacancy at Millvale House Napier, working a minimum of 30 hours per week.

We are looking for a special person to join our dedicated team in a dual full time role including both Diversional Therapy and Caregiving shifts.

Ideally we are looking for a qualified Diversional Therapist alongside practical Caregiving experience. Experience in, and an understanding of, dementia would be a strong advantage.

This is an opportunity to use your diversional therapy knowledge and skills to create an activities programme that acknowledges the specialised needs of people with advanced D6 dementia, also reflecting the individual needs and goals of residents.

You will have a positive impact on their lives and be part of a close and supportive team. It is very rewarding work.

We are an innovative and forward-thinking aged care provider which has pioneered a number of ground-breaking approaches in aged and dementia care, most notably the "Best Friends" approach to care and the "Small Homes" philosophy of care. We have supportive, close-knit staff teams and offer outstanding mentoring, training and support.

Our vision is to create a warm and homely atmosphere where each person is supported to experience each moment richly. Our vision is to accept all people with kindness and love. To provide peace comfort and joy. To be proactive, innovative and courageous.

To enrich each person, the community and the world.
