Are you an experienced Yard Supervisor looking for a new challenge with a leading building industry supplier in a unique position of growth?

Due to growing business demand, CARTERS Distribution Centre in St Johns, Auckland is seeking a Yard Supervisor to support the running of the timber yard and yard team with picking orders, loading and unloading trucks for deliveries across Auckland.

The ideal candidate might have HIAB experience to help with deliveries from the DC and CARTERS branches when required, however training can be provided.

As the Yard Supervisor you will maintain the daily operations in the yard, delegating tasks to staff and ensuring the yard is kept in good shape.

With your prior team lead experience and exceptional communication skills you can expect to spend your day: Ensuring orders are picked, assembled, and loaded quickly and efficiently.

Oversee yard stock management.

Support and coordinate with the Distribution Supervisor whose focus is on scheduling deliveries and truck management
Lead and develop the yard team by inspiring, supporting, motivating, and encouraging growth and succession.

Uphold best practise standards by leading from the front and ensuring all health and safety standards are met and adhered to.

About you

You will be the perfect fit for this role if you are committed to delivering exceptional customer service and have the following skills, qualities, and certifications: Class 5 with HIAB Experience is desirable but not essential as HIAB training can be provided

Forklift F Endorsed Licence with OSH Certificate
Proven team leadership experience, ideally in a similar role
Physically fit
Someone who values teamwork and approaches tasks with a positive mindset.
Capable in navigating computer systems with a firm grasp of technology.

Building industry knowledge is beneficial.
