Experienced Excavator Operator - Te Awamutu

We’re looking for an experienced excavator operator to join our team. You’ll be operating a range of equipment on fencing and small-scale construction sites, assisting with site preparation, post and pole installation, and general construction duties.

While your main role will be operating machinery, you’ll also be expected to assist with the physical construction side of projects when required — helping the team on the tools to get the job done.

What we’re looking for:

Minimum 3 years’ experience operating excavators (5–10 tonne range preferred)

Confident working around retaining walls, fencing lines, and tight access sites

A good attitude and willingness to take initiative

Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a small team

Good record-keeping and communication skills

A strong focus on safety and quality workmanship

Full driver’s licence (WTR endorsements preferred)

Must be an NZ resident and able to pass a pre-employment drug test

Clean police record – as some projects are in security-sensitive areas
