Duty Manager

We are looking for an experienced Duty Manager to join our fun, fast paced team. Support and training into the position will be provided.
This is a rare opportunity for a full-time permanent role at the Pig & Whistle.
The role will include:- Leading the front of house team during a shift, with our Core Values in mind.
- Ensuring all customers have a great experience, and want to return.
- Ensuring we are compliant with the Liquor Act at all times, including checking ID's, checking on alcohol consumption to ensure no.one becomes intoxicated, ensuring customers are leaving safely, being aware of whole venue.
- Assisting with staff training on shift.
- Setting the right atmosphere (lighting, music, temperature)
- Communicating with the kitchen team, calling wait times on food, checking all tables are happy.
- Daily checks, and assisting with day to day operations.
The role will including working evenings and weekends till close.
The right applicant will hold a current manager's certificate, and have worked in a similar environment. We will consider other applications if the person is in a position to obtain a manager's certificate and has proven experience.Immediate start available, but happy to work around notice periods.
Please note, there is a training process to be able to step up into a Duty Manager position at our venue. You will need to learn our policies, procedures and all areas of front of house, and show that you are able to fit into our team and core culture before leading a shift.
