Yard Technician - Labourer/Driver - Christchurch

Prime Environmental is a busy waste management company specializing in the treatment and destruction of hazardous chemical waste and the recovery of value from organic food waste.

We are looking to hire a competent person to work in our busy waste processing facility to assist us to process the various waste streams that we handle. This would include learning the operation of our waste water treatment plant, processing hydro-excavation waste and learning the operational processes around depacking packaged food waste, secure destruction services and producing compostable food waste blends.

This role will require a flexible, hands on and can-do person who is keen to learn and be challenged by the variety and pace of our workplace. You will enjoy the positive environment and the sense of satisfaction from contributing to very positive environmental outcomes.

You will need to be fit and active, able to lift no more than 20kg weights and be licensed to drive a forklift and hold your WTR license.
