Based at our Christchurch deer velvet grading centre, a fixed-term opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Storeperson. Due to the nature of our business, hours for this role will vary (base hours of 40 per week), so our ideal candidate will have flexibility to work outside of core hours.
About the role
This is a seasonal position, running from late October to end of April 2026. You will be responsible for receiving, processing and storing deer velvet.
To be successful in this role, you will be enthusiastic, reliable and an outstanding team player who places emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.
Key responsibilities include the following:
- Handling and processing of velvet products
- Compliance with New Zealand and international regulations
- Distribution of goods liaising with freight, transport, and courier companies.
What you'll bring to the team:
- A full, current, and clean NZ driver's licence
- Current forklift licence with F endorsement (for the right candidate assistance to gain your forklift licence would be provided)
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment (preferred but not essential)
- Good physical fitness as you will be on your feet for most of the day and be required to complete many manual handling tasks throughout the day
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Great communication and a real team player, working in a small team.
