In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of tilling-related tasks, including:- Prepare surface. Removing old tiles and grout, cleaning surfaces, filling holes/cracks and smoothening to be able to apply adhesives.
- Applying waterproofing systems where required.- Setting tiles into position, ensuring they are correctly aligned and spaced.
- Spreading and applying adhesives to tiles and surfaces.
- Grouting tiles.- Removing excess grout and cleaning tiled surfaces in order not to leave unwanted marks.
- Use tile cutting tools to cut tiles to requirements around corners or other structures.
- Create patterns or arrangements as instructed by the employer or owner.
- Concreting walls and floors, sand cement plastering to the uneven floor, sand cement plastering to finish exterior walls or as surface preparation work for wall tiling.
- Ensure that all tiling is done to a high standard and to customer satisfaction.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks on a construction site.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines.
- Teamwork attitude and follow the instruction from site manager.
- Must be available to work early mornings and weekends as requested.
- Must be available to work/stay outside Auckland as requested.
- No criminal convictions / Drug tests are required.
- 2-3 years relevant experience.
- Driver's licence.

To work alongside with Site Manager / Managing Director, supporting all aspects of tiling project management.
Key responsibilities:- Lead tilers across various sites, ensuring jobs are completed in a timely manner.
- Get hands-on when needed, working alongside the team to deliver projects professionally.
- Maintain critical relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Health & Safety management, day to day management, quality management.
- Quantity measurement on site, raw materials delivery, and translation when needed.
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving with strong attention to detail.
- Positive Can-do and teamwork attitude.
- Driver's licence.
