THAI CUISINE COOK - Hastings Region
We are an established Thai Cuisine Eatery specialising in Thai food from all regions of Thailand. Our aim is to build a strong and excellent reputation for serving fresh, healthy, and authentic dishes for our customers.
ABOUT YOU:Currently we are seeking skilled and enthusiastic Thai Cusine Cooks to join our team. The successful applicant should be comfortable cooking a variety of traditional and modern/fusion Thai Cuisine, and be reliable. A qualification in Thai cookery is an advantage, but not essential.
Applicants should have at least a minimum of 2 years’ related work experience and/or a relevant qualification (see below), ideally have a sound knowledge and understanding of Thai Cuisine ingredients, and ideally be confident in preparing a variety of Thai menu items and regional cuisines.
JOB DESCRIPTION: examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipmentpreparing and cooking food
seasoning food during cooking
portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
storing food in temperature-controlled facilities
preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
may plan menus and estimate food requirements
may train other kitchen staff and apprentices
THE IMPORTANT STUFF:ROLE: Thai Cuisine Cook
POSITIONS: 1 PositionsAvailable
HOURS: Minimum 30 Hours
DAYS: Rotating Roster including weekends
EXPERIENCE and/or QUALIFICATION:You must have at least 2 years of related work experience (Ideally experience in Thai Cuisine). Not required if you can meet the qualification requirement.
A relevant qualification/certification in Cookery (Level 4 or Higher), preferably in Thai Cuisine. Not required if you can meet the work experience requirement.
RIGHT TO WORK IN NZ:You must have the legal right to work in New Zealand such as be a New Zealand citizen or New Zealand resident visa class holder.
