Fabricator / Transport Engineer
Walling Contracting Ltd is seeking a skilled Fabricator/Transport Engineer to join our Agricultural Team in the Waikato.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in producing high-quality work. You'll be involved in the fabrication, maintenance, repair and modification of trucks, trailers, agricultural machinery, and transport equipment.
If you're mechanically minded, enjoy solving problems, and can work to a high standard with minimal supervision, we'd like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities; - Fabrication and welding of transport and agricultural equipment.- Repair and maintenance of trucks, trailers, and machinery.
- Reading and interpreting drawings and plans.
- Modifying and improving existing equipment.
- General engineering and workshop duties.
- Diagnosing faults and developing practical solutions
- Strong welding and fabrication skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving ability.
- Experience working with transport equipment, trucks, trailers, or agricultural machinery is highly disirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent English and confident communicating in a New Zealand workplace environment.
- Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
- Willing to do pre-employment and/or random drug testing
