- re seeking a Scientific Officer with provenexperience in mass spectrometry, ideally with a background in biochemistry,toxicology, or analytical chemistry.
This is a senior-level role suited tosomeone who can hit the ground running and contribute to high-impact projectsacross our specialist services.Located opposite Hagley Park South, CHL offers adynamic and collaborative environment with a diverse caseload and opportunitiesto lead innovation in laboratory science.KeyResponsibilitiesScientificand Technical LeadershipOperate,maintain, and troubleshoot mass spectrometry platforms (e.g.,LC-MS/MS, GC-MS).Designand validate analytical methods for clinical applications.Collaboratewith the Section Head and Chemical Pathologists to develop and deliverstrategic goals.Mentorjunior staff and contribute to training programmes.

- s degree in a relevant scientific discipline.Demonstratedexperience in mass spectrometry and laboratory operations.Familiaritywith quality systems and regulatory compliance.Stronganalytical, organisational, and communication skills.Acollaborative mindset and commitment to equity and excellence.Registeredwith the Medical Sciences Council ideally as a Scientist (or if Technician youwill need to work towards MLS qualification).
