Shift Supervisor
Auckland
Pay rate- $25-$30 depending on experience. Role is permanent and fulltime 32 hours/week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESStaff Management and Supervision
Supervise and coordinate activities of dough, make and cut table assistants, delivery co-ordinators and other restaurant personnel
Conduct staff training sessions on service standards, food safety, and customer service protocols
Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback and coaching
Assist with staff scheduling and rostering to ensure adequate coverage
Lead by example in demonstrating professional service standards
Customer Service Excellence
Ensure consistently high levels of customer service throughout all dining periodsHandle customer complaints and resolve issues independently, promptly and professionally
Greet customers and assist with any special requests
Monitor running smooth running of the restaurant during your shift and customer satisfaction levels
Implement customer feedback to improve service delivery
Operational Management
Oversee restaurant operations during assigned shiftsEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations and food safety standards
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies when required
Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the restaurant
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service
Quality Control and Compliance
Conduct regular quality checks on food presentation and service deliveryEnsure adherence to company policies and procedures
Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods
Implement and monitor food safety protocols and hygiene standards
Assist with opening and closing procedures
Administrative Duties
Assist with daily cash handling and point-of-sale operationsPrepare basic reports on staff performance and customer feedback
Support inventory management and stock control processes
Maintain accurate records of incidents, complaints, and resolutions
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Education and QualificationsTertiary qualification or relevant experience
Food Safety Supervisor certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months)
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Personal AttributesProfessional appearance and demeanour
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
