About the Role
We, at Health New Zealand Waitemata district, have consistently led the way with the development of Anaesthetic Technician practice. Specialty Anaesthetic Technician is a new and exciting role that will continue this journey. You will be a vital part of our multi-site roster, providing highly skilled anaesthesia assistance, combined with the commitments of your specialist role.

About Us

About you
We are seeking energetic, positive and highly motivated anaesthetic technicians with a minimum of six years post registration experience. You will have excellent communication skills and will fit seamlessly into our multi-disciplinary team.
The successful candidate will have: proven, developed skills and experience in ALL core competencies AND two extended scope competencies:
Core:
Cell Salvage (super user)Co-ordination of staff both in and out of hours.
Emergency department, Resuscitation and patient transportExtended:
PICC line insertionPACU
Advanced Life Support trainer
Advanced ultrasound vascular access trainer
Surgical scrub
Pre-operative anaesthesia assessment clinics
