Software Development Manager
Lead and architect core business apps including Oracle, APEX and Salesforce

Our client is a well-established organisation operating across New Zealand and Australia, focused on long-term growth through strong brand experience, technology and business transformation. The Business Transformation team plays a critical role in advancing strategic initiatives, improving systems, processes and culture across the organisation.
Your new role:As Software Development Manager, you will be one of two senior technology leaders, responsible for leading a team of software developers and application specialists. You will own solution delivery across key systems while remaining hands-on, ensuring platforms are secure, scalable and aligned to business goals during a significant period of change.
Responsibilities:
- Own solution delivery for assigned projects, including design and architecture
- Lead hands-on development across Oracle, APEX, Salesforce and related applications
- Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions
- Provide technical oversight, code review and quality assurance
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing software development team
- Work closely with Project Management and Infrastructure teams to align delivery
- Manage integrations with internal platforms and external partners
- Ensure strong testing, data integrity and customer-focused outcomes
- Maintain documentation, policies and compliance requirements
Requirements:
- 10+ years' experience in software development, including 5+ years in a leadership role
- Strong background in ERP and enterprise application development environments
- Hands-on experience with Oracle (Forms/APEX preferred), Salesforce and MS365
- Proven ability to lead teams while remaining technically involved
- Deep understanding of DevOps practices and agile delivery
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
