Truck Driver
Total Scaffold Ltd (previously known as Total Access Ltd) is looking for a Truck Driver to transport scaffold equipment safely, efficiently and professionally.
Duties and responsibilities
Reporting to the Waikato Scaffold Manager, working a minimum of 40 hours a week between the hours of 7am - 5pm, your main duties and responsibilities include:- Material Calculation: Calculate the materials needed for safe loading and unloading.
- Transporting Scaffold Equipment: Ensure the safe and professional transportation of scaffold equipment to and from customer sites.
- Safety Compliance: Perform daily truck safety and maintenance checks. Advise the Waikato Scaffold Manager of any maintenance or repair needs.
- Loading/Unloading: Responsible for loading and unloading scaffolding using Palfinger, forklift, or other means as necessary.
- Securing Loads: Position tie-downs, ropes, and other safety measures to secure the scaffold equipment for transport. Unsafe loading/unloading may lead to injury or damage.
- Site Inspections: Inspect worksites for potential hazards and log them appropriately.
- Documentation: Complete relevant reports and lift plans.
- Exclusion Zones: Set up exclusion zones where necessary.
- General Yard Duties: Perform cleaning, maintenance, repairs, and organizational tasks to keep the workshop and yard tidy and hazard-free.
- Customer Relations: Contribute to building strong relationships with customers and ensure a high level of service
What drives you
With a minimum of one years experience working as a Truck Driver, you are motivated to provide exceptional service be it liaising with clients, maintaining equipment, or coordinating with your managers and team members to meet the transport and yard requirements.
This role is for those with a minimum Class4 drivers’ licence and it is more than driving -it’s a dynamic role that involves navigating schedules, troubleshooting on the go, and providing excellent customer service.In addition, qualifications on how to operate a rear mounted crane would be preferred.
