Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and execution of economic and social development programmes.
- Drive joint ventures and initiatives that support business growth, employment, and investment.
- Align Council strategies with long-term community outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with businesses, stakeholders, and agencies.
- Provide insights and reporting to support executive and governance decision-making.
- Champion Maaori aspirations and community resilience through inclusive development.
- Collaborate with economic and social agencies to achieve shared goals.
- Tangible results through strategic programme leadership.
- Evidence-based direction for economic and social initiatives.
- Increased employment, business growth, and a resilient local economy.
- Initiatives that support community wellbeing and sustainable investment.
- Ongoing monitoring and evaluation to ensure programme success.
- Proven experience in leading economic and/or community development initiatives.

- Understanding of, or willingness to learn, te ao Maaori, tikanga, te Tiriti o Waitangi, and Te Ture Whaimana.
