Job Purpose:?The job purpose of the Business Development Manager (BDM) at Bracken and Webb Property Services is to drive the company’s growth by proactively identifying and securing new clients, as well as holding relationships with current clients.The BDM is to focus on company growth while generating leads, converting prospects into signed agreements, and ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new clients. The position also involves building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, developing tailored proposals and quotes, and supporting marketing and client engagement activities to enhance brand presence and market share in a highly competitive commercial cleaning sector.
Key Responsibilities:?
Sales Strategy & Client AcquisitionDevelop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand market share in commercial cleaning services
Target and acquire new clients through cold calling, networking, and leveraging industry contacts
Identify emerging markets and tailor services to meet client needs
Quoting & Proposal DevelopmentPrepare accurate and competitive quotes for commercial cleaning contracts, including cost analysis and service customisation
Collaborate with operations teams to ensure pricing aligns with service delivery capabilities
Highlight the company’s value proposition, service quality, and competitive advantages in all documentation.
Submit proposals within agreed timelines to maximize conversion rates
Client Relations & Retention
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients through regular check-ins, site visits, and customer satisfaction reportingRegularly engage with existing clients to identify upsell opportunities, address concerns, and maintain strong partnerships
Resolve client issues promptly and implement corrective actions to ensure satisfaction
Develop client retention strategies, including loyalty programs and feedback mechanisms
Marketing & Client Events
Plan and execute client appreciation events, industry networking functions, and educational workshops to strengthen brand visibilityCollaborate with marketing teams to create campaigns (digital, print, and social media) highlighting unique services (e.g., Carpet Cleaning, Hard Floor Maintenance, External Cleaning)
Represent the company at trade shows and conferences to generate leads
Performance Tracking & ReportingMonitor sales metrics, pipeline progress, and conversion rates using CRM tools
Provide monthly reports on revenue targets, client acquisition, and market trends
Always promote safe working practices and environment as per the health and safety in employment act 1992?

Experience and Qualifications?5 + Years experience in Business development
Proven sales experience and success in securing B2B contracts and meeting/exceeding revenue targets
Experience responding to RFPs and preparing bid documents
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to clients
Experience with IT and CRM platforms
Knowledge of cleaning industry preferred
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits
