Christchurch - Production Team Leader

Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for quality, people, and continuous improvement? We’re on the lookout for a Production Team Leader to join our crew and play a key role in delivering high-quality window and door solutions for our clients across New Zealand.

We are a 24-year-old business with a team of experienced people, combining work excellence with a caring work culture. Our products are uPVC windows and doors, and are among the warmest window systems fabricated in New Zealand.

We have a new opportunity available within our company at an exciting time, as we undergo significant growth in the New Zealand window industry. We are looking for the right candidate to grow with us on our journey to provide warmer homes for Kiwis.

As Production Team Leader, you will be responsible for guiding and leading our production team in building windows and doors at our premises in Wigram, Christchurch. You will play a fundamental role in taking charge of and leading our production operations. In this role, you will:

• Lead and support a skilled production team in our busy manufacturing environment
• Promote a strong safety-first culture
• Take responsibility to ensure windows and doors are built to the highest standard, on time and in full
• Collaborate across teams within the business to meet customer needs and expectations
• Drive daily improvements in systems, processes, and team capability
• Champion our company values in everything you do

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• At least 5 years of experience managing production processes and teams
• A practical, solutions-focused leader with strong communication skills
• High standards of quality and safety
• Knowledge and previous application of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Proven ability to train, motivate, and develop staff
• Reliable, organised, and committed to continuous improvement
