About the Role
We're on the lookout for enthusiastic, adaptable Anaesthetic Technicians to join our dynamic perioperative team at Hawke's Bay Hospital. Whether you're seeking a permanent full-time role, reduced part-time hours, or casual work—we're open to tailoring a position that fits you.
As a technician in our 8-theatre operating suite, you'll gain hands-on experience across a wide variety of surgical specialties including orthopaedics, general surgery, gynaecology, ENT, vascular, urology, and more. In addition to our theatres, we support procedures in our endoscopy and angiography suites, allowing you to broaden your clinical skills while working in a supportive and well-equipped environment.
What makes this role truly unique is the opportunity to operate at the very top of your scope. Our Anaesthetic Technician team is the only one in New Zealand that is actively involved in both ICU and Flight Transfer Services. You'll have the chance to work on critical care transports, including fixed-wing and helicopter retrievals, supporting some of the region's most vulnerable and critically unwell patients.
And when it comes to lifestyle balance? We've got you covered—with two permanent night shift staff on roster, night duties are rare, giving you more time to enjoy what matters outside of work.
