Remuneration: $30 – $35.00 per hour (guaranteed hourly wage)

Capital G Construction Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join our team in Tauranga. This is a full-time, permanent role with guaranteed minimum hours and competitive pay, offering the opportunity to work across a variety of residential and commercial sites.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and filling holes or cracks

Apply primers, undercoats, and finishing coats using brushes, rollers, or spraying equipment

Mix and match paint colours and ensure proper application for a high-quality finish

Maintain a clean and safe work environment on job sites

Erect scaffolding or ladders as needed to reach high areas safely

Travel locally between work sites within the Tauranga region

Follow health and safety procedures and comply with site-specific protocols

Maintain tools and equipment and manage job-related supplies

Minimum Requirements: At least 2 years of proven experience in a professional painting role

A strong understanding of surface preparation, various painting techniques, and safety practices

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Good communication and time-management skills

Must have basic personal painting tools — some tools will be provided by the employer

This role guarantees at least 30 hours of paid work per week

Work will primarily occur Monday to Friday, with some weekend work as required

Travel between job sites within the Tauranga area is necessary

Pay is guaranteed between $30 and $35.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience
