Timber Machinist
Due to continued expansion and production workload, we are seeking an experienced Timber Machinist to join our team. The roles include assisting with the production of bins and pallets by setting, operating, and maintaining planers, band saws and other machinery to cut, gauge, shape and grade timber.
Tumu Timbers Ltd is a locally owned and operated timber processing business based at Longlands, Hastings. Our hours of work are Monday to Friday, 5.00am – 3.30pm, 50 hours per week.
To be considered you will need to have experience as a Timber / Wood Machinist or Machine Operator within a manufacturing or wood processing environment, sawmill, or similar.
We are looking for candidates who:- Are resilient, self-motivated with a 'can do' attitude
- Are physically fit - manual handling will be required
- Show good mechanical aptitude
- Can work safely within a fast-paced environment
- Have a track record of excellent punctuality and attendance
- Are motivated with good communication skills.
