Thai/asian cuisine cooks

ABOUT YOU:Currently we are seeking skilled and enthusiastic Asian Cusine Cooks to join our team. The successful applicant should be comfortable cooking a variety of traditional and modern/fusion Asian Cuisine, and be reliable. A qualification in Asiancookery is an advantage, but not essential.
Applicants should have at least a minimum of 3 years’ related work experience and/or a relevant qualification (see below), should have a sound knowledge and understanding of Asian Cuisine ingredients, and should be confident in preparing a variety of Asian menu items.
JOB DESCRIPTION:- examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
- regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
- preparing and cooking food
- seasoning food during cooking
- portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
- storing food in temperature-controlled facilities
- preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
- may plan menus and estimate food requirements
- may train other kitchen staff and apprentices
ROLE: Asian Cuisine Cook
POSITIONS: Multiple Positions Available
HOURS: Minimum 30 Hours
DAYS: Rotating Roster including weekends
EXPERIENCE and/or QUALIFICATION:At least 3 years of related work experience (Sound experience in Asian Cuisine). Not required if you can meet the qualification requirement.
A relevant qualification/certification in Cookery (Level 5 or Higher), preferably in Asian Cuisine. Not required if you can meet the work experience requirement.
RIGHT TO WORK IN NZ:You must have the legal right to work in New Zealand such as be a New Zealand citizen or New Zealand resident visa class holder. Please do not apply if you are based overseas or currently on a temporary visa.
