Casual Cook
The Cooks role is an integral part of our team and we’re looking for someone that can demonstrate the necessary skills to plan, prepare and cook healthy nutritious meals and snacks for children aged 3 months to 5 years.
As well as being able to prepare and cook delicious meals and snacks, our ideal candidate will possess the following:
Previous cooking experience.Enjoy working autonomously and have excellent time management skills.
A strong focus on cleanliness and hygiene.
Kitchen management and menu-planning experience.
Confidence budgeting and ordering groceries online.
Confidence and knowledge in preparing and serving alternative meals for children with food allergies, including 100% nut free, dairy free, gluten free, vegetarian, soy free etc.
The key attributes we want from all employees at Wee Nippers are reliability, a strong work ethic, and a passion for meeting all roles and responsibilities so we can provide quality care and education for our Children.Experience in a similar role such as a commercial kitchen would be a huge advantage.
Please note that final candidates will be required to undertake a police vetting check.
Training will be provided by our Centre Chef, this will include a thorough induction into the centre.
