Our main sites are Middlemore Hospital, Kidz First Hospital and Manukau Health Park.We are part of Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, the overarching organisation for New Zealand’s national health service. HNZ leads the day-to-day running of the health system, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels.

About the role: Are you looking for a new and exciting role in Surgical Services? Then join us in our combined Theatre, Discharge, Admission (TADU) and Postoperative Surgical Unit (PSU).PSU is a 12 bedded unit designed for patients needing pre-admission prior to surgery or have had a surgical procedure requiring admission for up to 48 hours in the post-operative phase.TADU, our dedicated preoperative area, provides exceptional care for both elective and acute patients admitted for surgery from various specialties.

Our compassionate team ensures a seamless transition into surgery, prioritising the patient’s comfort and well-being. TADU also incorporates a second stage recovery area, which attentions on the needs of day surgery patients and supports their discharge planning for home.We are currently looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our fantastic team!

You will have the flexibility of working across Theatre, Admission & Discharge Unit (TADU) and the Post-Operative Surgical Unit (PSU).
