What you will be doing:
- Leading small crews on civil construction and infrastructure projects
- Reading and working from construction plans and site drawings
- Operating excavators up to 6T safely and efficiently
- Laying ducts and installing chambers for services
- Building pram crossings and installing tactile pavers
- Installing traffic signals - ducting, pole bases, pits, cabling coordination
- Assisting with street lighting installation - trenching, bases, poles, conduit work
- Ensuring site safety and workmanship are top quality
- Coordinating with site managers, contractors, and clients
- Proven civil leading hand experience
- Strong excavator operating skills (up to 6T)
- Ability to read and interpret civil plans and set out levels
- Full Class 2 licence (WTR endorsements preferred)
- Practical experience in:
- - Ducting and chamber installation
- - Traffic signal construction
- - Street lighting installation
- - Streetscape works - pram crossings, tactile pavers
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and reliable team leadership
- Commitment to health, safety, and delivering on deadlines
- Ongoing projects across the Bay of Plenty and Waikato
