We are looking for an experienced Telecommunications Technician & Security Technician with 3+ years in the telecom & Data Centre industry to install, maintain, and optimize telecommunication networks, CCTV systems, alarms, and access control panels.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in fibre/copper networks, FFP/ABFFP installations, MDU/SDU provisioning, and security system integration. Network engineering skills (routing, switching, IP configurations) are a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Telecommunications Duties:
Installation & Maintenance:
  • Install, repair, and test POTS, DSL, fiber optics (FFP/ABFFP), and copper networks.
  • Terminate and splice fiber/copper cables (26-way, 12-way, 7-way) as per design plans.
  • Build and provision MDU (Class 1 & Class 2) and SDU networks, including lateral cabling.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faulty telecom networks (copper/fiber) efficiently.
  • Install/terminate CAT6A, fiber (single/multi-mode), patch panels
  • Cable management (ladder racks, trays, labelling per ANSI/TIA-568)
  • Rack/stack servers, switches, PDUs
Network Design & Commissioning:
  • Plan, design, and commission UFB (Ultra-Fast Broadband) networks.
  • Install and configure Internet hubs, routers, modems (wired/wireless), and ONTs.
  • Work with optical communication systems (OTDR, power meters, splicing).
Documentation & Compliance:
  • Prepare engineering plans and as-built documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., BICSI, ANSI/TIA).
Security Systems Duties:
CCTV & Access Control:
  • Install and maintain IP-based CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and electronic access panels.
  • Configure NVRs/DVRs, motion sensors, and biometric systems.
  • Integrate security systems with network infrastructure (VLANs, PoE switches).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Must-Have Experience:
  • 3+ years in telecom or datacenter (Fiber/copper networks, MDU/SDU Builds, CCTV & Alaram Installations).
  • Hands-on experience with CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
  • Hands on experience with Install/terminate CAT6A, fiber (single/multi-mode), patch panels
  • Expertise in Cable management (ladder racks, trays, labeling per ANSI/TIA-568)
  • Proficient in Rack/stack servers, switches, PDUs
Networking Skills (Advantage):
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing (Cisco/Ubiquiti), and Wi-Fi mesh networks.
  • Certifications like CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or BICSI (preferred).
Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving, time management, and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Nice-to-Have:
  • Certifications in security systems (ESA, NICET).
  • Experience with intrusion detection systems (IDS).
  • Training in latest telecom/security tech trends.
