Procurement Specialist

Joining a leading New Zealand food manufacturing organisation like ANZCO Foods means stepping into a procurement environment where your work has real operational impact every day.

You won’t just be processing transactions, you will be working across a complex, large-scale manufacturing operation where procurement directly influences production performance, cost efficiency, and business continuity.

We are particularly looking for someone with a background in energy, utilities, or Technology procurement, who understands how these markets operate and can translate that knowledge into proactive value opportunities within the business.

This role will suit someone who can identify efficiencies, challenge assumptions, and leverage your industry understanding to deliver smarter, more strategic procurement outcomes across energy and technology spend categories.

• Building strong foundations for progression in your procurement career by gaining exposure to complex, multi-site operations and high value supplier relationships
• Build deep, hands on experience across energy, technology, and manufacturing spend categories
• See the direct link between procurement decisions and business performance, efficiency, and output
• Develop confidence managing end-to-end sourcing processes in a high volume operational environment
• Strengthen your commercial capability through real supplier negotiations and contract management
• Work closely with experienced operational teams who understand the business end-to-end
• Develop your ability to balance short-term operational needs with longer-term strategic value creation
• Build strong foundations for progression in the procurement career

• Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Commerce, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
• 3–8 years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, or category support roles
• Background in energy, utilities, industrial, manufacturing, or technology procurement strongly preferred
• Experience working in operational or production-driven environments
• Contract management and supplier performance experience and end-to-end sourcing processes
• Understanding of energy or utilities markets or technology (advantageous)
• Strong commercial judgement and negotiation capability
• Comfortable working with data to support procurement decisions and reporting
• Proven ability to build strong relationships across operational, technical, and corporate teams
• Strong communication skills with a practical, solutions-focused approach
