Fixed Term Calf Rearer/Farm Assistant - Hinds

We are seeking a motivated and reliable person to assist us over the calving period (Mid-July to Mid-October). We are located near Hinds (approx 25mins to Ashburton/Geraldine), milking 900 cows and rearing 270 replacement calves, as well as some beefies.

This position would see you involved predominantly with calf rearing, both in shed and outside as well as assisting with other general farm tasks as required, such as setting break fences, dusting, hosing yard etc.

Experience is not essential, although it would be a benefit.

Ideally you would be available to work Wednesday to Saturday and hours would be approximately 6am - 5pm with a minimum of 1.5hrs for lunch, however this can be negotiated if it doesn't suit your circumstances.

We provide good remuneration, including a travel allowance and can also provide shared accommodation for the right person.
