Formwork Carpenters - Shear wall construction - Christchurch

We are on the lookout for an experienced form worker for constructing concrete shear walls on a local, long-term project in Christchurch.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring that all formwork is completed accurately, safely, and within the specified timeframes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct and install formwork for shear walls and other concrete structures.
• Lead a small team and work closely with the site manager and site team to maintain project schedules.
• Read plans, and specifications to ensure formwork meets design requirements.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Perform regular inspections of formwork to ensure structural integrity and proper alignment.
• Assist with training and mentoring junior carpenters when needed.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a formwork carpenter with extensive experience in shear walls.
• Strong knowledge of formwork materials, tools, and techniques, particularly for shear wall applications.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively.
• Strong commitment to safety on the job site.
