Douglas Furniture is a well-known and established Canterbury joinery company. Our business is locally owned and operated, has a long history and heritage in the industry, with a strength in commercial furniture & interiors.

We are currently looking for a Qualified Joiner with a minimum of 5+ years' experience to join our team.

• Undertake a wide variety of furniture making and joinery tasks
• Read and follow drawings & plans
• Able to construct joinery from scratch using traditional machinery
• Work on multiple jobs/production runs throughout the working day, so flexibility is essential
• Work unsupervised

• Working on wide range of commercial & domestic joinery projects
• On site work - installations and furniture set up (installation experience is desirable but not essential)
• Assembling commercial furniture & joinery
• Other duties as they arise

• A full-time permanent role, 40 - 45 hours per week with periodic additional hours.

You will need a full, clean drivers' licence (able to drive a manual transmission desirable but not essential) and be a NZ resident, or, have the relevant work permits that allow you to work in NZ.
