Forestry Machine Operator

Are you an experienced forestry machine operator looking for a rewarding role in a tight-knit, supportive work environment? We’re a small, family-owned logging crew that values hard work and reliability and we're looking for someone to join our team.

Crew is based in Dannevirke with work primarily in the Tararua and Central Hawkes Bay regions.

• Operate Grapple Loader mainly on skid, fleeting, stacking, loading and some shoveling when required
• Load out early loads
• Occasional processor work if the skill level suits
• Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance
• Work safely and efficiently in all weather conditions and terrain
• Collaborate closely with the crew to meet job goals and deadlines

• Experience operating forestry equipment (1+ years preferred)
• Strong understanding of logging safety protocols
• Self-motivated with a solid work ethic
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Someone levelheaded, trustworthy and reliable
• Mechanical aptitude a plus
• Must be Drug free
• Must have a Full Drivers' License
