Job Description
We're seeking a Bar Manager for a new Te Aro, Wellington called 187.
As the Bar Manager at 187, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring exceptional service, team leadership, and compliance with New Zealand's hospitality regulations. Your role is pivotal in maintaining a vibrant and efficient bar environment.
Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage bar staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Operational Management: Oversee daily bar operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment.
Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and handling of customer inquiries or complaints.
Compliance: Maintain adherence to health and safety regulations and liquor licensing laws, including the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 .
Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, monitor sales, and implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability.
Event Coordination: Plan and execute bar promotions and events to drive patronage and revenue.
Qualifications & Skills: Proven experience in bar management or a similar hospitality role.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
In-depth knowledge of bar operations and beverage preparation.
Familiarity with New Zealand's liquor licensing laws and health regulations.
Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
