Plumber/Drainlayer Position - Full-Time Permanent
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Plumber/Drainlayer to join our established team. Gas fitting experience is advantageous but not essential for the right candidate.
Key Requirements
The successful applicant will be New Zealand qualified with extensive experience and demonstrated expertise in maintenance, repairs, installations, and renovations. We require someone who can commence immediately, works to high standards within reasonable timeframes, and operates with minimal supervision.

Our operations focus primarily on the residential market, complemented by select premium commercial and industrial clients. Services include urgent repairs, maintenance, general plumbing, gas installations, equipment replacements and upgrades, renovations, and occasional new construction projects.

- Ability to manage travel and job scheduling efficiently
- Tradesperson qualification preferred with minimum 2 years post-qualification experience
- Experienced Journeyman with relevant background will be considered
- Must possess complete set of professional tools required for daily operations
- Must be a New Zealand resident
Hours: 40-45 hours standard working week. On-call roster for weekends and public holidays.
Remuneration: $35-45 per hour based on experience and qualifications, with review after 3-month probationary period and annual reviews thereafter.
Vehicle: Company van provided with private use privileges under fair use policy

Professional Development
We do regular in-house training including discussions and hands-on instruction, which allows us to keep up to date on NZ Standards, new products and developments in the industry. In addition to this, external training for First Aid, Confined Space, and Working at Heights certifications as required.Specialist external training may be available when aligned with company objectives and service demand.
Access to specialist in-house equipment with full training provided, plus plant hire as required for specific projects.
Onboarding & Support
New team members receive comprehensive induction and company orientation to ensure rapid integration and minimise adjustment challenges. Ongoing monitoring and support provided during initial weeks, with open communication encouraged to resolve issues, enhance services, and contribute to business improvement.
