**What You'll Be Doing:**
Our busy heavy diesel night workshop based in Mangere is looking for an extremely competent diesel mechanic with superb attention to detail, solution focused and sets high quality standards.
We have a great team culture and are looking for someone with a positive outlook who would like to be part of a professional, personal, family friendly environment.
To be successful you will thrive in a fast-paced environment, undertake mechanical repairs and scheduled maintenance work and achieve deadlines. As this role is a night shift position the hours will be 4pm to 12:30am Monday to Friday, with 40 hours work guaranteed each week.
**What We Are Seeking:**- Diesel Mechanic qualification
- Minimum 4 years practical experience
- Excellent mechanical knowledge of diesel engines and a logical and solution thinker
- Skills in diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems
- Be a team player and help the wider team when needed
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Workplace health, safety and environment focus
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently
- Clean Class 1 driver licence, preferably Class 2 and 4
