At Compass Group we have partnered with Qantas as one team to create an incomparable lounge experience, we have an exciting opportunity for a Catering Assistant to join our team within our Wellington Airport Operations. This is a Casual Position, hours of work are on "as and when" required basis, dependent upon business needs.
This role within the lounge will be responsible for ensuring our highly engaging service culture is translated into outstanding "surprise and delight" moments for our valued customers.
Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:
- Basic meal preparation - Cooking/Baking/Grilling
- Re-stock and replenishing supplies
- Providing a warm, friendly, welcoming and professional style of service to our residents
- General cleaning of kitchen/front of house areas
He korero mou / About you:
- Be a team player but also able to work autonomously
- Demonstrate previous experience in a similar role
- Have a flexible approach and attitude
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills
- Be hard working
- Be physically fit and reliable
- Ideally hold NZQA Food Handling certificates Units 167 & 168
- Have a safety focus and an awareness of health and safety practices and protocols
