Overview Following the Military Style Academy (MSA) Pilot, Oranga Tamariki is well advanced in planning what future versions of the MSA may look like and is looking to deliver the programme again in 2026. The MSA is a kaupapa-driven, military-style residential programme for serious and persistent youth offenders and will provide an evidence-based, trauma-informed, alternative pathway for youth offenders to help them thrive within their whānau and communities.
Working in partnership with mana whenua and other youth focused providers, the programme is intended to bring hope, healing, and sustained change.Administration Support at the MSA To ensure comprehensive and efficient services within this programme of work, the Military Style Academy team is looking for two experienced Administrative Support kaimahi based in Palmerston North, at our Te Au rere a te Tonga Youth Justice residence.

These roles are imperative to ensuring seamless support for the wider Military Style Academy team and play an important part in this genuine opportunity for rangatahi change their lives for the better. These are two fixed-term, full-time opportunities with an anticipated 1-year appointment.Key requirements of the role include: Experience in office administration, customer service and supporting payroll functions A high level of competence in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite Strong relationship building skills and experience dealing with members of the public Well-developed written and verbal communication skills Effective organisation, planning and time management skills Ability to work well as part of a team as well as work independently with initiative Skilled at managing competing priorities and being flexible to change in the workplace Full drivers licenceMe pēhea te tuku tono | How to Apply Oranga Tamariki offers a step based remuneration package, that offers progression annually for experience through tenure.
