We are currently on the lookout for Sawmill Team Members.
Sawmill team members complete the following tasks:- sorting and stacking timber during milling
- placing timber for processing by machines and unloading cut timber from tail end of machines
- assisting with setting up and operating plant and ancillary equipment used in the manufacture of sheets and boards
- clearing blockages in machines
- assisting with measuring and cutting materials
- packing and loading products for transportation
- cleaning work areas, tools and equipment
Positions available are in our Sawmill work hours will be 40 per week a 4 on, 4 off rotating roster Monday to Sunday.
We need highly motivated self-starters who are reliable and physically fit. You must be quality and safety conscious, enjoy working in a team and shift work environment.
Requirements
A minimum of 6 months relevant experience in a factory or sawmill
Reasonable Literacy and Numeracy skills
Ability to pass pre employment drug and alcohol tests as well as random tests throughout employment
Physically fit and able
Extremely safety conscious and willing to undertake appropriate further training
Able to work in a high activity/high noise environment - you will be provided with full training and safety gear/PPE; however due to the noise levels and strength of PPE required you will not be able to have general conversations during shift.
Able to work weekends, early shifts and night shifts.
