A busy food establishment in Auckland is looking for a shop manager.
Essential requirements- At least two years’ experience working in a New Zealand food business
- the ability to guide and support a team
- A customer-focused approach with solid problem-solving ability
- Clear communication and the ability to build positive working relationships
- Proven trustworthiness
- Proven ability to pay attention to details.
- determining product mix, stock levels and service standards
- formulating and implementing purchasing and marketing policies, and setting prices
- promoting and advertising the establishment's goods and services
- selling goods and services to customers and advising them on product use
- maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions
- undertaking budgeting for the establishment
- controlling selection, training and supervision of staff
- ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
- Organises and controls the operations of a retail trading establishment
- Keeping the store organised, stocked and well-presented
- Making sure day-to-day operations run smoothly
- Managing the team to do the following:
o weighing and measuring vegetable and dried foods
o washing, peeling, cutting, slicing and dicing vegetable
o storing food supplies, equipment, utensils, dishes and silverware in refrigerators, cupboards, pantries and other storage areas
o Lifting heavy boxes in accordance
o Loading and unloading from the coolroom
- Adhering to all food safety and health and safety standards
- Performing delegated tasked to manage the shop on behalf of the owner
- Minimum wage 25/hour
- Maximum wage 30/hour
- Full time permanent role (at least 30 hours per week)
