Bartender/Bar Manager & Front of house positions

Gramados Restaurant and Bar has a full time Bartender/Bar Manager position that available as one of our long term very valued employees is leaving to move up NorthWe are also looking for a part time and full time Waiter/ Waitress
Both positions long term and not seasonal
These positions are Tuesday to Saturday evenings with Sunday and Mondays off.
To be successful in these rolls it is essential that you are reliable, accountable, enthusiastic, self-motivated, work well in a team (family) environment, previous experience working in a bar/restaurant, have outstanding skills in customer service and a “can do” team player attitude.
MAIN DUTIES FOR BARTENDER/BAR MANAGER
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring everything runs smoothly
Ensure every guest leaves with the positive experience by maintaining high standards of service and hospitality
Ensuring compliance with the sale and supply of Alcohol Act 2012
Ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions of the premises liquor licence, host responsilbilities and New Zealand health and food safety regulations
Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Restaurant Manager to align drink and food offerings
Managing Bar duties and front of house hosting
Manage bookings
Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control
Passion for mixology and a deep understanding of beverage trends
Exceptional service and communication skills
Strong organizational and stock control management abilities
Hold a current Managers certificate or previous experience in a similar roll eligible to get your Managers certificate
MAIN DUTIES FOR WAITER/WAITRESS
Take reservations via email and phone
Welcome customers and take to table
Present them with menu and explain specials available
Take food and drink orders and deliver to tables
Clearing tables and resetting
Process payments including handling cash and eftpos transactions
Clean and polish Cutlery and glasses
Adhere to sanitation and cleaning of restaurant at end of service
Knowledge in barista and making drinks an advantage
Follow instructions from managers and owners
Good communication with kitchen staff
Knowledge in wine and food pairing

New Zealand Resident or able to work in New Zealand with a current work visa
Able to pass a drug test if required
WE WILL PROVIDE
4 weeks annual leave after 1 year, Sick pay
Pay rate depending on experience. Minimum $23.50 ph
