About our work:You’ll undertake fabricating and fitting tasks for heavy engineering shipbuilding industry, including:
- Carry out stainless steel and aluminum fabrication and general fitting
- Abilities with multiple welding disciplines
- General workshop engineering and equipment maintenance
- Adhere to and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a healthy and safe work environment.
- Accurate completion of paperwork and documentation
We need you to have:
- Tradesman with a good level of experience across a range of fabrication and fitting tasks
- A valid NZ driver's license and clean driving record
- Good self-motivation and have a high standard of workmanship.
- Solid problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Organised and able to deal with conflicting priorities and work under pressure
- Capable of working well in a team environment, with a good attitude to and respect for other staff members
- Champion of health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace
- Physical stamina and agility to work in a marine environment.
- Able to travel for clients when needed
- Work in a unique marine environment
- Enjoy the beauty of the region, including the stunning coast, national parks and vibrant arts scene, while pursuing your passion for engineering work
