We are looking for a Log Truck Driver on a single shift-day shift to join our company who is contracted to Pan Pac Forest Products.
The shift usually starts between 1am-4am and typically is 11-14 hours in duration, this role is anywhere between 55-70 a week (guaranteed 40 hours minimum per week)

The Truck is a 8 month old KW T659 with a 5 Axel Trailer and fitted with Auto Tensioners for chaining down.
This position is based in Bay View, Napier.
Requirements for the role:
- English must be your first language
- You must hold a clean class 5 license
- The successful applicant must be able to provide a negative pre employment drug test and understand we do random testing
- Preference is for an experienced person in logging, but not a must
- You must be physically fit and able (throwing chains over loaded logs)
- Able to pass a police check - licence and demerit checks
- Knowledge of map reading would be an advantage
- Ability and willingness to adhere to all Health and Safety requirements to increase your skill set
- Transport logs from various locations to destinations
- Safely handle physically demanding tasks relating to loading and unloading of trucks
- Treat and keep the unit clean and tidy as if it were your own
- Communicate clearly and effectively over radio
- At all times act in a safe and responsible manner
- Keep accurate and up to date records/paperwork
Remuneration will be based on experience and can be negotiated at time of interview and will fall in the range of $30-$35 p/hr.
