  • rebuilding a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability,whānau-centred care, and excellence.Kia hiwarā!About the RoleElizabeth Street Day Centreprovides an activity programme aimed at maintaining the best possible physical,psychological and social functioning for each member.The Centre is open from 10am until 3pm every weekdayand offers a range of services, such as socialisation, craft and handwork,assistance with skills for daily living, and recreational activities.In this role, you will be responsible for:Assisting the coordinator in implementing appropriate activities based on group and individual needsPlanning, facilitating, leading and supporting members in diversional activities, e.g.
craft work, games, social interaction within groupsCommunicating information relevant to the member
  • s conditions to the Co-ordinator and refer requests for information of members
  • health to the Co-ordinatorAbout YouA passion for caring for elderly personsAn enthusiasm for planning and implementing activities, as well as encouraging participationExperience within the Health Service is advantageousCompetency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reoMāori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of yourlearning and growth Certificate in Diversional Therapy (or interest in obtaining this) is preferableWorkingfor Health New ZealandHealthNew Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is
