About the Role:
As the Operations Controller, you’ll be the central force behind the coordination, delivery, and performance of our security operations across Christchurch. From leading a team of dedicated Supervisors and Officers to streamlining operations and ensuring service excellence, you’ll be hands-on, in control, and constantly evolving.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Drive daily operations across the branch with a sharp focus on efficiency, service delivery, and quality.
- Lead, motivate, and develop our on-the-ground security team.
- Own rostering, problem solving, and scheduling like a pro.
- Be the go-to problem solver for client requests and challenges.
- Champion Health & Safety compliance and reporting.
- Analyse, develop, and implement systems and processes to streamline our service.
- Take charge of budgets, labour costs, and resource allocation.
- Liaise with stakeholders across multiple departments.
- Ensure every customer interaction reflects the highest professional standards.
- Respond to critical incidents and emergencies with calm leadership.
This Role Is Perfect For Someone Who:
- Has strong leadership experience and thrives in an operational or service-based environment.
- Wants to progress into an Operations Manager role and is ready to prove themselves.
- Can manage people, problems, and priorities without breaking a sweat.
- Brings experience in rostering, staff management, client service, and operational planning.
- Has great communication skills and is confident working with both frontline staff and senior leaders.
- Knows how to deliver results, meet KPIs, and work within a budget.
- Has a full NZ driver’s license and the ability to obtain a Security COA.
- NZQA Security qualifications (Level 3 & 4),
- A background in the security industry (not essential, but ideal),
- First Aid Certificate,
- Tech-savviness – Microsoft Office is your playground
