Farm Manager - Northland - Dargaville

Strategic leadership role with hands-on responsibility.

Ngati Mahia Farm Investments Ltd is seeking a motivated and experienced Farm Manager to take responsibility for the operational and financial performance of a sheep and beef property in Northland. This role is well suited to someone ready to lead day-to-day farm operations while working closely with the Board of Directors to deliver long-term strategic goals.

• Manage pasture, livestock, and seasonal activities to meet production targets
• Lead and develop staff and contractors, including recruitment when needed
• Monitor and manage farm budgets, expenses, and performance against plan
• Maintain accurate records (stock, H&S, RMA, fertiliser, staff time)
• Provide regular written and verbal reports to the Board
• Ensure a safe, compliant, and productive farm environment

• Proven farm management experience in livestock-based systems
• Confident with budgeting, planning, and reporting
• Skilled in staff supervision and performance management
• Organised and thorough with record-keeping and farm compliance
• Strong communicator who is comfortable engaging with a Board
• Proficient with basic on-farm digital tools and systems
