Competitive salary. Hands-on H&S across construction sites and internal teams.
  • Add value with defecting, inspections & quality assurance. Protect our own.
  • Join one of the fastest-growing national property groups - Wolfbrook!

Keep people safe. Lift quality. Shape the future of one of NZ's fastest-growing property groups.

At Wolfbrook, we're building more than homes - we're building safer, smarter communities. With thousands of properties delivered nationwide and a growing pipeline, we're now bringing health, safety and quality assurance fully in-house. That's where you come in.

We're looking for a hands-on Health & Safety Officer to champion safety across our national construction sites, while also supporting internal staff wellbeing and onboarding. You'll also take ownership of defecting and quality assurance, ensuring Wolfbrook's standards are met every time.

This is a practical, visible role - you'll be out on-site, building trust with contractors and teams, while also working with leadership to keep our people and projects on track.

Your day-to-day
  • Construction Site H&S - carry out inspections, audits and toolbox talks across multiple active sites nationwide.
  • Internal H&S - support employee wellbeing, policy implementation, inductions and onboarding.
  • Defecting & Quality Assurance - inspect completed builds, identify defects and ensure workmanship meets Wolfbrook's standards.
  • Incident & Risk Management - report, investigate and close out issues with a proactive, prevention-first approach.
  • Training & Engagement - build a positive safety culture through training, communication and visible leadership.
  • Reporting & Compliance - ensure all documentation, registers and processes are maintained in line with NZ regulations.
What you bring
  • 3-5 years' experience in Health & Safety, ideally in construction or property.
  • Working knowledge of NZ H&S legislation and best practice.
  • Eye for detail - able to spot risks, defects and quality issues quickly.
  • Strong communicator, able to influence contractors, site staff and leadership.
  • Practical, hands-on, proactive - not just a "clipboard H&S person."
  • Relevant H&S qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH, NZQA Level 4 or above) preferred.
Reporting Lines
  • External / Construction H&S: National Construction Manager
  • Internal / Staff H&S: Head of People & Culture
What we offer
  • Competitive salary
  • Tools of trade provided (vehicle for site visits, phone, laptop)
  • A role with real variety - from construction sites to head office support
  • The chance to own H&S and QA in a fast-growing, vertically integrated property group
  • A supportive leadership team that values safety, quality and continuous improvement

Ready to make your mark?

If you're looking for a role where you can own health, safety and quality across both construction and corporate environments, apply now and help Wolfbrook set new standards in property.
