Seeking L2, 3, or 4 NZQA Health and Wellbeing support worker

  • High level of complex support needed

Care on Call is passionate about supporting people in the community and we take pride in the personalised service we deliver to clients and the staff we work with.

We have a client living with MS that is based in Lower Hutt who requires support with daily life.

We are seeking a well-spoken, positive, and empathetic individual who understands the complexities of challenging behaviours and can offer patient, thoughtful support—particularly on difficult days.

We are seeking a fantastic support worker who has:

  • A strong understanding of and experience with challenging behaviours
  • Experience working with children
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a care team
  • Availability for morning, late afternoon, and evening shifts
  • Good comprehension of directions and ability to follow tasks accurately

Note: Ongoing training and support provided.

What we need from you:

  • Have consistent and long-term availability (we like to ensure continuity with our clients)
  • A current, clean full driver's licence
  • Minimum of Level 2 Health and Wellbeing (or equivalent)
  • The legal right to work in NZ
  • Previous experience as a caregiver/support worker with similar clients
  • To be reliable, punctual, honest and caring
