This opportunity offers on-site accommodation in a new, fully furnished, self-contained one-bedroom apartment attached to the main house. All services are included. The apartment could also suit a couple, and/or someone doing some flexible 'working from home' type work for their job, but also seeking some additional income.

The residents of the main house are an elderly German couple seeking part-time assistance with daily living. This role is perfect for someone with a caregiving background who is also looking for a safe and tranquil place to live.

• Hours: A few hours a day (flexible and negotiable). This commitment will likely grow over time.
• Accommodation: Free use of a modern, one-bedroom apartment as part of the arrangement.
• Location: 15 minutes' drive from central Whangarei, on a spacious semi-rural property with direct beach access.

• Providing support with light daily tasks such as:
• Help with cooking meals and tidying up.
• Assisting with mobility or other basic needs as required.
• Offering companionship and checking on the couple’s general well-being.
• Running occasional errands (a driver’s license is preferred).
• Being available to address minor household and gardening tasks, such as changing light bulbs, arranging for tradespeople, or turning the compost.
• Offering a reassuring presence on-site in case of emergencies.

• A peaceful living environment with access to an organic vegetable garden, a small orchard, and direct access to the beach for swimming, walking, or water sports.
• Flexibility in terms of work hours and responsibilities.
• A fair hourly wage for caregiving duties, in addition to the free accommodation.

• Has experience in caregiving or a similar supportive role.
• Is kind, empathetic, and attentive to the needs of elderly individuals.
• Values a harmonious and secure living environment.

• The property is already maintained by a gardener and cleaner, so routine household tasks are not required.
