We aspire to having a workforce reflective of the communities we serve and achieving equitable outcomes for all.Te whiwhinga mahi | The OpportunityWe are looking for qualified Medical Laboratory Technicians to join our Bowel Screening Team at LabPLUS, Auckland City Hospital.The Specialist Chemical Pathology department encompasses Special Biochemistry, Endocrinology, Trace Metals and Chromatography and provides laboratory services for 3 national programmes (Bowel Screening, Newborn Screening and Antenatal Screening).
Whilst these roles are based primarily in the Bowel Screening area there may also be a requirement to work in other sections of the department. Primary tasks for the role will include pre-analytical unpacking and sorting, extraction of and analysis of samples, registration of samples and general admin work.The positions are 4 or 5 days/week on day (0700-1530 hrs) and evening shifts (1530-2400 hrs) and will involve some Saturday shifts.The permanent position will be mainly evening shift.
