About the role:The Health and Safety Advisor is responsible for providing practical, effective, and professional health and safety advice, support, and guidance to operational teams across Fliway & SCS. The role supports a proactive safety culture, ensures compliance with health and safety legislation, and drives continuous improvement in systems and behaviours to manage critical risks in a transport and logistics environment.
What you will bring to the role:
- Relevant qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NZ Cert in Workplace Health and Safety Practice Level 4 or higher).
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably within transport, logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing.
- ICAM or equivalent investigation training (desirable).
- Valid NZ driver's licence (essential).
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and industry standards (especially in transport and logistics).
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Skilled in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Competency in using safety management systems and Microsoft Office tools.
