Civil/Geotechnical Engineer - Team Lead

We are seeking a motivated individual to be part of our thriving team of project managers, consultants and engineers; working with us at Blueline Consulting to deliver and manage complex infrastructure and assets across a variety of industries including: residential, commercial, land development, public infrastructure and heavy industrial areas.

Our business is growing a more diverse footprint across the Central North Island and with an increasing portfolio of transportation and water infrastructure projects we require a capable and resourceful Senior Civil or Geotechnical Engineer that may also prove themselves as a Team Lead.

Proven experience will be required on infrastructure related projects from concept development through to detailed design, implementation phases and beyond. We deliver projects and provide engineering, procurement and construction expertise. Thanks to our range of services and the diversity we work with our customers at every stage of their project.

The successful applicant will be an experienced and tertiary qualified Engineer, be motivated, able to engage with others and lead a team to deliver results and growth. Having a disciplined and proactive approach to work, good commercial acumen, the ability to provide excellent client service and the drive to succeed are all essential qualities.

Key Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualified in Civil engineering. Ideally CPEng or working towards it.
  • 8 plus years relevant experience.
  • Experienced in Geotechnical Engineering investigations and design solutions.
  • Have experience in the design development of civil infrastructure, such as transportation or civil structures within wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Knowledge of Earthworks and the use of Civil 12D or 3D will be advantageous.
  • Conversant with NZ regulations, code of practice and standards.
  • Familiar with project lifecycle and understands design, construction, commissioning, and closeout phases.
  • Familiar with NZS3910 contracts and administering throughout construction, as Engineer to Contract or Engineers Representative.
  • Be able to participate and provide input into project cost estimation, planning and asset management.
  • Agile team player and be able to lead a small team of engineers and designers to deliver solutions.
  • Well organised with excellent communication skills.

Remunerations will be offered based on experience and qualification. The selected candidate will have ability to work remote, based in our Cambridge / Hamilton office.
