About us:Progressive Group is a Hamilton based Engineering group, with strong, honest values. We design, fabricate, and assemble SharpGrade precision grading attachments, exported worldwide. We are the fourth largest manufacturer of precision grading attachments in the world and growing.
We continually develop new concepts to stay ahead of the competition. We are a vertically integrated grading attachment company, developing our own precision positioning control systems, hydraulic controls, and structures. This gives us an edge on our competition.
Our core strength is an intimate knowledge of hydraulic systems and their application. We design, manufacture and install bespoke systems in the hydro and geothermal electricity generation sectors, involving a wide variety of disciplines.
We utilise Solid Works with a PDM vault, with a strong emphasis on Sheet metal pressed parts.
The Role:- Design office duties
- Concept & Design of new attachments
- Stress analysis
- Managing PDM vault
- Good understanding of mechanical design philosophy
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 1 years’ experience as a Design Engineer
- Fabrication based design experience using 3D modelling of sheet metal parts
- Good grasp of basic engineering fundamentals
- Experience using FEA
- Design Office duties
- Developing products from concept to production / manufacture
- Consistent high quality, presentable, drawings
- Developing durable, robust designs that are manufacture friendly
- Accurate FEA
- Actioning ECN’s
